CAMERA READY & COLOR SEPARATED ARTWORK

	APPLE ADVERTISING works closely with our clients needs in providing a lot of FREE ARTWORK Services and generally about 75% never pay for art charges. Below are not requirements, but can help us in expediting your order more quickly. Deadlines are important, but so is Quality.

	If you don't have finished artwork, but have an idea for a design that you doodled on a napkin - No Problem. Just fax the design to Apple Advertising at (281)-859-6643. Please indicate your name and a return telephone number so we can contact you if we have any questions. We will reproduce your design FREE OF CHARGE in most cases and e-mail or fax it back to you for final approval.

	We are often asked "What is camera ready artwork?", "What do you mean by color separated artwork?" or "What are registration marks?" These are terms used in the printing industry to describe artwork suitable to produce silk screens, plates or dies used in the imprinting process. Simply put, it is clear, sharp, crisp, black and white artwork shot with a printers camera.

	Good artwork is critical to ensure a quality end product. The graphics department at Apple Advertising has established some general guidelines to help simplify the process. The artwork must be of good quality with a high resolution.

	To reproduce the artwork on a finished product the artwork must first be color separated and converted to black and white camera-ready artwork. If all of this is still confusing - give us a call. With the advent of laser printers and many ink jet printers, a large number of specialty manufacturers will accept this type of artwork as camera ready. However, be advised that should they reject this artwork their normal charge for making it camera ready runs $30.00 - $35.00 per hour and will be billed as a separate "art charge".

	In some cases when complex artwork is needed, we will, as a service to our customers, have artwork prepared camera ready locally at an additional charge of $20.00 (per color in the case of multi-color, color separated, artwork.) Apple Advertising tries hard to avoid these charges to our clients. You can obtain camera ready artwork from most local print shops e.g., PIP Printing, Kinko's, Kwik Kopy or any local printer that has a camera.
